Grindelwald’s mountain backdrop is the first thing you notice, even before leaving the village. It is a busy resort, with shops and restaurants as well as access to the slopes and trails above.
First is reached from the cableway in the village; the Eiger Express and Männlichen gondolas leave from Grindelwald Terminal farther down the valley. For the walks and attractions above, see the individual activity guides. A working lift does not mean the hiking paths are free of snow.
