Steep mountains and small villages line Lake Brienz. In Brienz, there is a promenade along the water and a long tradition of woodcarving. Iseltwald is smaller, with its village tucked beside the lake.
Boats leave Interlaken Ost; Lake Thun departures are at West. The two lakes have separate services.
