The bridge is the main event here: 340 metres on foot above the Gumischlucht, with Lake Thun and the mountains in view on a clear day. It links Sigriswil and Aeschlen, so leave time to wander through the villages on either side. The gorge walk is a different undertaking, with a steep descent and climb back up. You can visit the bridge without adding that route.

What to look forward to

  • The crossing between Sigriswil and Aeschlen
  • Lake Thun views when the clouds lift
  • Time to wander around the villages

Before you go

The bridge is high above the gorge, so consider your comfort with heights. Admission is paid on site; check the operator’s current terms and weather notices before you travel.
