Take the gondola from Kandersteg, then walk the main path for about 20 to 30 minutes to reach Oeschinensee. The mountain walls rise straight above the lake, and stopping at the shore is reason enough for the trip. For a longer hike, look at the Heuberg panorama trail separately: it has exposed sections and needs mountain experience, stamina and a head for heights.
