Oberhofen has castle rooms and a garden beside the water. Thun has a medieval keep above the old town, with history displays and towers to climb.
Museum opening dates are especially worth looking up outside summer, and the grounds can have different access arrangements. Expect stairs in Thun’s keep. At Oberhofen, the lakeside garden is part of the visit too.
